Live Up to the Fullest
Natalie is just a normal teenager until, she meets Spencer Williams. Spencer teases, taunts, and makes fun of her. So, getting annoyed with Spencer, Natalie asks Spencer what his problem his. She finds out that she doesn't know how to have fun, she's always serious and regretful in her life. At first, Natalie thought she was very playful, but when she found out she isn't... she understood the real meaning of life, you only have one chance to live it so have fun. So, Spencer teaches her how to enjoy life instead of regretting it. They drop water balloons on people's heads from the patio, get caught for trying to get free tickets to a football game, and snapping all of the teacher's pencils!
And most of all, Natalie learns a big lesson, you only have one chance of life, so live it up to the fullest.

Best Friends for Life
Sorry I haven't posted for a REALLY long time!
Anyways, Best Friends for Life is about three girls, Sierra, Juliana and Avery. Sierra's in third grade, Juliana's in 4th and Avery's in 5th. Sierra and Juliana have known each other for about a year and Avery has known both of them for about three months.
In the beginning, things were working out pretty good. The three of them really got along with each other until... there was a huge argument between them. At first, Avery thought that everything would be fine the next day but it wasn't. Instead, Sierra and Juliana started back talking and tattle-tailing on each other. Before long, Avery soon got sick and tired of them complaining on each other and tried to stop the fight.
So, the day they had their first sleepover with each other, she tried to sort things out between them. Will Avery be able to save their friendship?

Violin
Here's a poem I wrote in fourth grade:
Violin
Tune
of “Allegro” playing
Sounds
like notes flooding to my ears
Looks
like strings surrounded by brown paint
Smells
like professional painted wood
Tastes
like artificial painted wood
Rosin
smell is finding its way through my nose
Remembering
“Every Good Boy Does Fine”
Feels
like a door without screws
Now that’s a violin

Reflection
This was a reflection I made in fourth grade with my mentor but I kind of changed some parts of it. So here it is:
Hi, my name is Aastha. Let me tell you a little about myself, I am in fifth grade and I’m 10 years old. I love to read, write, play with my little sister and watch TV. I also play the violin and piano. Now let’s get back to my reflection, this is about why I want to an author when I grow up.
Though, it’s your choice if you want to continue reading this.
Yes or No
If you’ve made the right decision and decided to read this reflection, let’s get started. I started to have interest in writing when I was 7 or 8. It was in California when me and my best friend decided to write a story together but we ended up writing our own stories. Every day I would write my story and after a few weeks or so, I finished it. Then I read it to my parents and they said it was a great. My dad even emailed it to my third grade teacher to read. Before me and my friend wrote our stories, I would write short stories by myself. And that is how I got interest in writing.
In fourth grade, I joined a program called NaNoWriMo and I published a book named “Jessie the Wizard”. It’s about a girl named Jessie who goes on an adventure to save her older sister. I am currently writing a “The New Girl” and “The Fausters” story.
I like to write because I think it’s fun to just imagine something and make it into a story because nobody can tell you what you have to write about or tell you that you can’t mention something in your story.
Now, our next topic is what I would be if I wasn’t an author. I don’t really know about that but when I was young, I always thought I would be a doctor, teacher or an artist.
In my life, I’ve have met 5 authors. Some authors that I wish to see are, J.K Rowling who wrote the Harry Potter series, Rick Riordan who writes about Greek Mythology, and Suzanne Collins who wrote the Hunger Games series.
My dream is to become as famous as J.K Rowling because I think that she is an awesome writer.
Well, this is the end of my reflection, so I hope you enjoyed it!
Big Trouble
Big Trouble is about a girl named Leah. Leah is an adopted child with cranky parents who lock her up in her room the whole day and force her to sit in front of the TV. Six years back, when Leah was five years old, while her parents went out to the market, she sneaked out of the house and walked to the library across their house. The librarian was really nice and let Leah come in whenever she wanted to. One day, Leah's parents find out and get really angered up at her. Her dad storms into her room and rips up all the books as Leah whimpers silently on the bed. Now that she's 11, she knows better of it. Leah goes to a dreadful school full of horrors and nasty things. In that school, she finds out she has some kind of power to convince people to agree to everything she says. She likes playing around with it, especially with her parents. Though, sometimes it leads her into serious trouble she shouldn't even be in! Leah wishes she could just give up her power. What will she do?
My Biography
So, I'm going to tell you a short biography of myself today!
I was born in India and I lived there for about 5 years.
Then I moved to Tennesee. It was really hard to learn a new language but I did it. When I was in first grade, I started enjoying reading and I ended up reading the whole Junie B. Jones series.
Then I moved to California and lived there for two years. I played a LOT with my friends that lived in my complex. When I was in third grade, I decided I wanted to be an author because I LOVED to read! I usually wrote short stories about ideas I got from other books. I even wrote a bunch of stories that I never even finished. My third grade teacher, Mrs. Cleland noticed I enjoyed reading and writing and she really supported me.
And then in the middle of third grade, I moved to Iowa where I met wonderful friends and teachers. In fourth grade,, I started liking writing even more! I read a bunch of books including the Harry Potter series. I joined a writing program called NaNoWriMo where I published Jessie the Wizard. I also had a mentor in fourth grade and I made a Power Point slide about some of my favorite authors and the writing courses you have to take in college. Plus, I made an reflection of why I wanted to be an author.
But sadly, we had to move to Pennsylvania. So far fifth grade is really fun! Now I like writing MUCH more!
Anyways, hope you enjoyed!

The Legend of Abby Adrae
The Legend of Abby Adrae is a book I haven't started writing yet. But here is a summary of it:
This story is about a girl who discovers her family's business.
For the past couple of years, there's a stone missing in the family business that takes care of their family. Without the stone, their family is in danger. That's why over the past 4 years, lots of unusual things have happened. A villain, Dexter, has hidden the stone, which Abby later realizes. When she does, she and her best friend, Lizzy, go on an adventure to bring back the the family stone.
Will she be able to do it?
Jessie the Wizard Passage
Here is a passage from Jessie the Wizard:
“Sure, sure. Let’s not worry about that, right now. Today’s lesson is outside and you don’t need any of your materials.” Destiny replied, standing up.
“Um, that sounds kind of weird, but okay.” Jessie answered.
“Great!” Destiny sneered.
Jessie felt very uncomfortable but she went with the flow. As they went outside, Destiny lead her to Jake’s house.
“Hey, why don’t we ask the people in this house if we can borrow their porch to practice spells?” Destiny said.
“Or we could use our porch.” Jessie suggested.
“It’s okay, their porch is better to practice on.” Destiny replied.
Jessie ringed the doorbell as Jake opened the door. Everyone was silent for a few seconds as Destiny and Jake stared at each other and made a weird face.
“Hi, Jake we want to see if we could practice on your porch.” Jessie started off.
“Sure, why don’t you come in for a little snack, too?”Jake asked.
“Oh, no need. We’ll be fine out here.” Jessie replied.
“It’s okay Jessie, come on, let’s go.” Destiny said.
Jessie followed her sister into the house. It was kind of strange because the house looked small from the outside but in the inside it looked big like a mansion.
“Come, sit.” Jake said, motioning Jessie and Destiny to the couch.
As Jessie sat down she looked around the big house. There was a shelf with books and books, in the middle of the living room was a mat, by the sofa and the windows was a cabinet which had five drawers and two shelves. Jessie couldn’t exactly see in the rooms but she noticed that there was a fireplace in one room.
“Would you guys like cheese pizza or something?” Jake asked.
“Anything’s fine.” Destiny said, growling a bit.
Jake came out of the kitchen with a tray and set it on the dining table.
“Come on, Jessie.” Destiny said.
When they were done eating, Destiny and Jake started acting very weird.
“Um, D-Destiny I think we should probably leave now.” Jessie said.
“Oh no, don’t be in such a hurry! By the way who are you even talking to? There’s nobody named Destiny here.” Seidken said.
“Yes, you must be amazed by this, but I am…….Seidken. Yes, you and your friend, Alli thought that I was nobody. But guess what? Here I am, about to end your life, Jessica Elizabeth Brooks.”
Jessie the wizard
Jessica Brooks finds out she's a wizard on her 12th birthday! And believe me, she goes through a lot of tantrums! Every day, she takes a magic lessons with her older sister, Destiny.
One day, out of the blues, while she's having her lesson, Destiny acts really weird, because that isn't Destiny, it's Seidken! Seidken is an evil wizard who has been hiding for years and years!
Will Jessie be able to rescue her sister? Read this book to find out!
Writing Tips
Here are some of my writing tips:
-Always have some comedy and suspense in your story, otherwise people get bored and stop reading.
-Get people to read your books and give you feedback because sometimes, the story makes sense to you, but not the readers. Plus, sometimes you feel bad if someone corrects your story, but trust me, it makes your story MUCH better.
-READ, READ, READ! The more you read, the better your stories are.
For example, my inspiration is J.K Rowling.
-If you have a goal of 20,000 words and you don't accomplish it, it's okay, your story's really good! Don't throw it away because you don't like it.
My most favorite tip of all:
-Write, because you love it!

Saving Kadee
Mitchie Reed lived in Filbert Town on the planet
Phar. Where people had absolutely nothing to do to pass their time, their cycle
was to go to work, return back home, eat dinner, sleep and do the same thing
over and over again. If you were a kid, you would help in the kitchen, study
for some time, eat food and try to pass your time by playing.
But luckily
for Mitchie Reed, she had an awesome best friend named Kadee Harris. Kadee’s family
was very rich since both her parents had fine jobs at the factory. But Kadee
didn’t like to brag about that. Kadee was also a very smart girl. She knew
everything, just ask her a question and she’ll give you a proper answer.
One day,
something very strange happens, while Kadee and Mitchie are playing outside,
they notice somebody in black clothing spying on them. And that night, while
the Reed family was eating dinner, somebody knocked on their door asking if
they could borrow a pair of scissors and Mitchie notices the exact same black
shoes as she saw the person who was spying on them earlier wear.
And it’s not
long before Mitchie finds out that Kadee is trapped in a place called Death Valley.
Will Mitchie
be able to save her best friend, Kadee? Read this book to find out!

"The New Girl" is second in a series called the The Girls.
It's about four girls who are best friends since their childhood. They always do everything together, never keep secrets from each other and never leave someone left out.

And the next day, the strangest thing happens. There's a new girl in Julie's class named Jasmine and she has the same kind of locket as Susan, Katie, Julie and Rebecca. And it's not long before the girls discover that Jasmine has the same kind of power as Julie.
Gradually, Jasmine is trying to fit herself into the group while Julie stays at her grandma's house for a few days. When Julie comes back she sees Jasmine, Susan, Katie and Rebecca all best friends.
Will Julie be able to save their friendship?
